Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation activities to demonstrate platform fit for financial services customers.
  • Own technical evaluations, including solution design, proofs of concept/proofs of value, workshops, and support for tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for new business and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders at banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, cloud practices, governance, and compliance considerations.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.
  • Create reusable examples, best-practice guidance, and technical collateral tailored to financial services customers and partners.
  • Maintain and deepen expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies.
  • Support team growth through ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations considerations.
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value.
  • Experience contributing to tenders, audits, workshops, or value stream assessments.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior decision makers.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to continue learning new technologies and deepen platform expertise.
  • Experience working with financial services customers or regulated industries is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $137,400 to $231,300 USD for U.S. residents at the listed level.
  • Sales roles are eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of base salary.
