Description

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to demonstrate how GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets customer needs.
  • Own technical evaluations, including solution design, proofs of concept/proofs of value, workshop design, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies for new business and expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide them through GitLab-enabled transformation.
  • Advise customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, cloud, and operations practices.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights.
  • Maintain and extend technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies.
  • Create reusable examples, best-practice guidance, and technical collateral for customers and partners.
  • Invest in ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to strengthen the Solutions Architect team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience guiding customers through solution design and evaluation.
  • Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps and CI/CD workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts and related deployment, security, and operations options.
  • Ability to lead proofs of concept/proofs of value, contribute to tenders or audits, and run workshops or value stream assessments.
  • Clear technical communication and presentation skills for both practitioners and senior decision makers.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, listen with empathy, and advocate for customers internally.
  • Motivation to continuously learn new technologies and deepen platform expertise.
  • Experience in or transferable knowledge from related fields is welcome.
