Description

  • Manage a pipeline of commercial agreements with varying complexity and stakeholder needs.
  • Draft and review subscription agreements, AI terms, regulatory annexes, professional services agreements, NDAs, and related documents.
  • Negotiate contract terms with customers while protecting GitLab’s legal and business interests.
  • Partner with sales and internal stakeholders to provide timely contracting guidance throughout the deal cycle.
  • Assess contractual risk and translate legal issues into practical business recommendations.
  • Create sales enablement guidance and help sales teams navigate contract terms.
  • Maintain and improve playbooks, templates, and process documentation for scalable contracting.
  • Contribute to strategic enterprise deals across the EMEA region.

Requirements

  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in a software or technology environment.
  • Knowledge of technology agreements, complex commercial arrangements, and regulatory or licensing considerations.
  • Practical, solutions-oriented approach to balancing business objectives and legal risk.
  • Ability to explain contractual concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders and external counterparts.
  • Experience working across geographies and time zones, with awareness of global commercial and regulatory norms.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and contract lifecycle management tools; Ironclad experience is preferred.
  • Interest in AI tools and practical experience using them in legal or commercial workflows.
  • Fluency in English; professional fluency in French is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience with remote or asynchronous work, or readiness to work effectively in that model.
  • Law degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent practical experience; candidates must be based in the UK or Ireland.
