Description

  • Develop secure, tested, and performant parsers for dependency manifests, lockfiles, and SBOMs.
  • Extend analysis engines and remediation services to support additional package ecosystems and formats.
  • Build and evaluate analyzers combining deterministic methods with AI-driven analysis, measuring false positives and missed findings.
  • Create CWE-mapped detection rules and supporting test fixtures.
  • Package analyzers for CI jobs, AI agent workflows, and command-line tools using GitLab security report formats.
  • Extend automated remediation from sandboxed dependency updates through merge request creation.
  • Identify technical debt and implement improvements to team processes and systems.
  • Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and help uphold engineering standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for product, security, and urgent engineering issues.

Requirements

  • Professional experience writing and testing production code in Go and/or Rust.
  • Experience using AI or LLM tools to generate or evaluate technical content with sound judgment.
  • Willingness to learn vulnerability classes, software supply chain security, and static analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through in a remote, largely asynchronous environment.
  • Clear and concise technical communication and iterative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or willingness to learn containerized workflows and CI/CD; Docker experience is helpful.
  • Familiarity with package managers such as npm, Maven, pip, Bundler, or Cargo is helpful.
  • Experience with web or mobile frameworks, parsing, ASTs, program analysis, detection rules, or labeled-data evaluation is helpful.
  • Willingness to work across Go, Rust, Ruby, and Python.
