Description

  • Conduct outbound prospecting in collaboration with SLED sales counterparts and manage inbound lead flow.
  • Lead high-level discovery conversations in target accounts.
  • Meet or exceed BDR-sourced First Order, Stage 1, and Stage 3 pipeline targets.
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to create opportunities.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts using business and industry knowledge.
  • Use multiple outreach channels, including calls, email, and social, across assigned prospects.
  • Track, manage, and report activities and results in Salesforce.
  • Document processes in the GitLab handbook and update them with the Business Development Manager.
  • Work with Field and Corporate Marketing to drive attendance at regional marketing events.
  • Attend field marketing events to engage participants, identify opportunities, and schedule meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience prospecting into State/Local agencies and the EDU sector.
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
  • Ability to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements.
  • Knowledge of business process, roles, and organizational structure.
  • Determined personality with a desire to grow and win.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and tools such as Outreach, ZoomInfo, Cognism, Salesforce, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Previous tech industry experience or experience in sales development, marketing, or sales is a plus.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required globally.
  • Interest in GitLab’s Public Sector mission and alignment with GitLab’s values.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $59,360 to $84,000 USD for US residents.
  • Sales roles are eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of base salary.
