Description

  • Partner with the Controller to lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Deliver high-quality management reporting with variance analysis and trend insights to surface risks and emerging business issues early.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, documentation, and review procedures, and help remediate control gaps or policy issues.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support year-end audits and other compliance requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate accounting workflows to improve scalability and data quality.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner by translating accounting and reporting matters into clear business language for internal stakeholders.
  • Reinforce strong operating discipline across the accounting function and help build a high-performing team.
  • Coach or manage team members as needed to support the accounting organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting; active U.S. CPA license required.
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, advisory, or other complex environments is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and close management.
  • Experience supporting audits and operating in an audit-ready control environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and reduce manual work through systems or workflow enhancements.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment, with the ability to identify risks, investigate variances, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Clear, confident communicator with a practical, collaborative mindset.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others is strongly preferred.
  • Must be based in the Central or Eastern time zones and work fully remotely within the U.S.
