Description

  • Build and own data infrastructure, including pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data quality systems.
  • Analyze product usage and user behavior to identify patterns and segment users.
  • Build and ship LLM-based systems and traditional machine learning models.
  • Define, track, and interpret product and go-to-market metrics such as activation, retention, engagement, and PQLs.
  • Run experiments and measure impact through A/B tests, causal analysis, and cohort studies.
  • Translate data findings into clear product recommendations and decision-making guidance.
  • Work across data science, data engineering, and product analytics to support product development.
  • Design or help shape data pipeline and model architecture for new features.
  • Instrument and measure new features from scratch, including event tracking and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience across data science, data engineering, and analytics.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for complex queries, data modeling, scripting, and analysis.
  • Experience with Databricks or a comparable modern data platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • LLM experience including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and evaluation.
  • Deep traditional machine learning experience in classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and feature engineering.
  • Product mindset with the ability to connect analysis to product decisions and user behavior.
  • Experience building reliable, scalable data pipelines.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding data hire.
  • Preferred experience building product analytics from scratch, including instrumentation, event taxonomy, dashboards, and self-serve reporting.
  • Preferred legal or HR domain experience.
  • Preferred experience with LLM evaluation and observability, including tracing, scoring, and drift detection.
  • Preferred familiarity with dbt, Airflow/Dagster, Spark, or similar orchestration and transformation tools.
