Description

  • Research machine learning and statistical methods to improve model predictive performance and business value.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate model, product, and technical enhancements using rigorous experimentation and validation.
  • Conduct self-directed investigations and offline data analyses to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Translate research findings into recommendations, documented methodologies, and production-ready solutions.
  • Present analyses and findings to the ML team.
  • Collaborate with mentors and stakeholders to align on priorities and drive next steps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, econometrics, computer science, or a related quantitative field; expected graduation by 2028.
  • Strong foundations in statistics, probability, and machine learning theory.
  • Ability to analyze data and evaluate machine learning or statistical models using Python.
  • Basic SQL skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, intellectual curiosity, humility, and drive.
  • Ability to use modern agentic tools such as Claude Code or Codex efficiently.
  • Experience with supervised learning, model evaluation, and feature engineering (preferred).
  • Advanced frequentist, Bayesian, causal inference, or econometrics knowledge (preferred).
  • Strong Python coding skills (preferred).

  • Fully remote role with one or two 2–4 day in-person collaboration sessions during the internship.
  • Anticipated U.S. base salary of $141,000–$150,000, plus target bonuses, equity compensation, and benefits.
