Description

  • Build and own data infrastructure, including pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data quality systems.
  • Analyze product usage and user behavior to identify patterns, segment users, and surface actionable insights.
  • Develop and deploy LLM-based systems, traditional machine learning models, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Define and track product and go-to-market metrics such as activation, retention, engagement, and PQLs.
  • Run A/B tests, causal analyses, and cohort studies to measure product impact.
  • Translate analysis into clear product recommendations and explain what the data means for future development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience spanning data science, data engineering, and analytics.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, including complex queries, data modeling, scripting, and analysis.
  • Experience with Databricks or an equivalent modern data platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • Hands-on LLM experience with fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and evaluation.
  • Depth in traditional machine learning, including classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and feature engineering.
  • Experience building reliable, scalable production data pipelines.
  • Product mindset with the ability to connect user behavior and analysis to product decisions.
  • Clear communication skills for presenting findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding data hire.
  • Preferred: Experience building product analytics from scratch, legal or HR domain knowledge, LLM observability, or tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, and Spark.
