Description

  • Write the first production code and set the company’s technical direction.
  • Harden Ava’s voice and workflow systems for production reliability, observability, and auditability.
  • Build infrastructure for configuring, monitoring, and optimizing AI workers without proportionally expanding engineering headcount.
  • Balance AI quality and cost per call within the $499-per-month pricing model.
  • Represent BloomLex technically with lawyers, partners, and investors.
  • Convert pilots into paying customers and expand the platform into additional AI staff roles.
  • Develop a path toward custom and self-hosted models where legal and privacy requirements demand it.
  • Recruit and lead the founding engineering team and establish its engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Production experience shipping LLM-powered and voice systems where incorrect outputs had meaningful consequences.
  • Full-stack experience with applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Strong judgment regarding reliability engineering, edge cases, and AI quality-versus-cost trade-offs.
  • Experience building managed, service-heavy platforms that can scale delivery without scaling engineering headcount.
  • Ability to operate as a principal technical leader and challenge timelines or designs when product integrity requires it.
  • Prior founder or early-stage technical leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in legal tech, healthcare, or another trust-sensitive industry preferred.
  • Ability to self-host custom models for legal and privacy requirements preferred.
  • Willingness to serve as a true co-founder with shared authority over product, technology, hiring, fundraising, and strategy.
