Description

  • Support the CTO in managing the day-to-day oversight of the organization’s full technology stack, including software, hardware, cybersecurity, operations, and policies.
  • Lead the design, development, deployment, and enhancement of new and existing applications and systems software.
  • Evaluate client progress toward goals using KPIs and scoring matrices.
  • Advise on vendor selection and vendor oversight.
  • Create and implement technology policies, procedures, and control measures.
  • Supervise proactive cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Optimize IT infrastructure to ensure integrity, security, and performance for distributed teams.
  • Provide technical direction, management support, and daily guidance to IT staff.
  • Support resource management and communication across multiple product and engagement teams.
  • Advise the CTO and senior leadership on technology operations and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Director of Technology at an alternative asset firm or family office.
  • Strong technical knowledge across IT functions, including application teams, information security, business process management, program and portfolio management, partner and supplier management, architecture, digital platforms, and infrastructure/operations.
  • Strong experience with investment technology vendors for hosted and on-prem platforms, such as Calypso, Murex, Eagle, ePam, Aladdin, CRD, Bloomberg, and FactSet.
  • Expertise in budget and resource planning/monitoring to ensure budget optimization.
  • Strong understanding of business processes in regulated investment management and financial services environments.
  • Ability to collaborate and succeed in a fast-paced environment while maintaining on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and team morale.
