Description

  • Define the product vision and strategy for the marketplace based on user insight, competitive analysis, and business model considerations.
  • Own the end-to-end roadmap, including deciding what to build, what to cut, and how to sequence work.
  • Design and improve both sides of the marketplace, including consumer discovery, trust, booking, retention, and practitioner onboarding, activation, growth, and advocacy.
  • Develop frameworks for marketplace health, including supply and demand balance, liquidity metrics, matching quality, and network effects.
  • Own the cold-start strategy for bootstrapping supply and demand in new verticals and geographies.
  • Treat trust and safety as a core product surface, including credential verification, reviews, and dispute resolution.
  • Partner with engineering and design to ship continuously, write clear specs, and make scope decisions that preserve velocity.
  • Define success metrics, instrument features, run experiments, and remove initiatives that are not working.
  • Own marketplace business logic such as pricing models, take rates, subscription tiers, and transaction economics.
  • Partner with growth and marketing on acquisition, activation, and retention loops for both sides of the marketplace.
  • Use data and dashboards to identify high-leverage opportunities and operate the marketplace with clarity.
  • Use AI to accelerate research, drafting, analysis, prototyping, and workflow automation, and help raise team-wide AI fluency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with significant experience on marketplace, platform, or multi-sided products.
  • Experience building 0→1 products in startup, founding PM, or early-employee environments with limited resources.
  • Experience operating at the Senior, Staff, or Principal level, or equivalent scope regardless of title.
  • Proven ability to ship products that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong interest in wellness, longevity, and preventive health, with a personal connection to the space.
  • Current knowledge of functional medicine, longevity research, consumer health, and the practitioner landscape.
  • Exceptional product taste and attention to detail.
  • Clear and precise communication skills, including writing specs and working directly with engineers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, speed, and independent decision-making.
  • Strong analytical ability, including pulling data and running analyses independently.
  • Low-ego, high-ownership working style.
  • Direct experience in health, wellness, longevity, or consumer health is preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory, trust, and compliance dynamics in the health space is preferred.
  • Experience building or scaling marketplaces through cold-start, supply-demand balancing, and network effects is preferred.
  • Experience building AI-native products is preferred.
  • Technical depth, such as the ability to read code, write SQL, or prototype in no-code/low-code tools, is preferred.
