Description

  • Build and maintain secure, high-performance APIs and connectors between the internal Single Customer View and the external Email Service Provider.
  • Develop real-time and batch data pipelines for identity, consent, and engagement events to support the next-best-action engine.
  • Build internal user interfaces and Control Tower features in Cerebrum for segment creation, journey orchestration, and performance reporting.
  • Work with the Iris templating system to dynamically render personalized content blocks from the AI Advisor engine.
  • Write clean, maintainable code across backend services, database queries, and frontend dashboards with strong test coverage and documentation.
  • Partner with the AI Engineer to implement personalization logic and align technical decisions with the Tech Lead.
  • Support the migration of legacy campaigns and data from providers such as Selligent and Mailchimp to the new platform.

Requirements

  • Experience in modern full stack development with PHP (Symfony/Laravel) or Node.js/Golang for backend services, and React/TypeScript for frontend tools.
  • Strong experience consuming and building RESTful or GraphQL APIs, including integrations with third-party SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Stripe, or ESPs.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases, and writing efficient queries for large datasets.
  • Understanding of event-driven patterns such as webhooks, queues, and pub/sub for real-time user actions.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation concepts such as segments, journeys, and triggers, or experience working with ESPs/CDPs.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
  • Ability to debug complex data flow issues across distributed systems.
  • Proactive use of AI tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, Copilot, or Bolt to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Specific experience with major ESP APIs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Mailchimp is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of ETL processes or data warehousing tools such as BigQuery is beneficial.
  • Experience with Temporal.io or similar workflow engines is beneficial.
  • Strong belief in automated testing, including unit, integration, and E2E testing, is beneficial.
