Description

  • Lead a team of 3-5 fullstack developers.
  • Write and review code, with approximately a 70/30 split favoring management responsibilities.
  • Ensure the team follows company processes and engineering guidelines.
  • Own feature delivery and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Make technical decisions and prepare technical designs for new features.
  • Align technical decisions with neighboring teams and the engineering manager.
  • Manage technical debt and maintain the team’s technical backlog.
  • Mentor and develop engineers through regular 1:1 meetings.
  • Onboard new team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years as a Team Lead or Engineering Manager.
  • Experience managing a team of 3-5 developers.
  • Hands-on ability to write code, make technical decisions, and design systems thoughtfully.
  • Strong people management skills, including hiring, coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product companies with TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, and Redis.
  • Experience with fast-growing companies or startups is a plus.
  • English at B2+ level, with the ability to confidently discuss technical topics.
  • Remote work from CET hours is preferred.
  • Russian-speaking team environment.
