Description

  • Design, develop, and implement a cloud-based data warehouse architecture.
  • Set up tools and processes for capturing data from multiple sources into a central data warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and new API integrations.
  • Build ETL pipelines and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows.
  • Tune and debug the data warehouse and related data processes.
  • Support data analytics and data science teams with reliable data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models for business intelligence tools.
  • Work with executive, product, data, and design stakeholders on data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs.
  • Use SQL and AWS big data technologies to build infrastructure for data processing and storage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent related experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing data platforms, data tools, or data management technologies.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and query authoring.
  • Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Experience with data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, Sisense, Looker, or Metabase.
  • Knowledge of GitHub and JIRA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse and data governance practices.
  • Experience developing software in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages is a plus.
  • A build-test-measure-improve mindset with the ability to motivate and lead teams.
  • Passion for operational efficiency, quantitative performance metrics, and process orientation.
  • Working knowledge of project planning methodologies, IT standards, and guidelines.
  • Customer focus, business acumen, and ability to negotiate, facilitate, and build consensus.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
