Description

  • Deliver assigned lessons aligned with curriculum learning objectives and session plans.
  • Facilitate engaging live online instruction for adult learners using best teaching practices.
  • Teach Power BI and Tableau concepts, including dashboard development, data visualization, data cleaning, transformation, and modeling.
  • Use SQL, Excel, and optionally basic Python to support data analysis workflows.
  • Guide students in building interactive dashboards, reports, and data storytelling presentations.
  • Connect course material to real-world industry applications and business use cases.
  • Provide individualized student support during live sessions and scheduled office hours.
  • Mentor students on portfolio development, including end-to-end analytics projects.
  • Evaluate student progress, grade deliverables using rubrics, and assess dashboards, reports, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, communicate progress and concerns, and collaborate with instructional staff to improve the learning experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in GenAI/PowerBI.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI and Tableau, including data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical topics to diverse learners.
  • Experience with real-world business analytics use cases and storytelling with data.
  • Passion for teaching, education, and mentoring students entering the technology industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote teaching environment and availability for evening hours.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment.

Benefits

  • $55–$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Part-time, non-exempt role with compensation for all hours worked.
  • Remote, 100% online work environment.
  • Weekly commitment of 8–12 hours.
