Description

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions for third-party system integrations.
  • Build and refine API interfaces and service communications.
  • Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams from discovery through delivery.
  • Maintain and enhance existing backend solutions while proactively resolving issues.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical excellence across the stack.
  • Support external developers through clear documentation and well-defined interfaces.
  • Develop developer tools and frameworks that improve platform extensibility.
  • Write unit and integration tests and apply strong error handling, logging, and observability practices.
  • Coach and mentor other engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of API design, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of best practices for secure, scalable, and maintainable APIs.
  • Strong experience in backend web application development.
  • Experience with languages such as PHP, Java, Python, Go, or equivalent, with eagerness to use PHP as a daily driver.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL.
  • Ability to build software end to end, with exposure to React and the frontend.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Solid grasp of error handling, logging, and observability.
  • Experience defining contracts and interfaces for maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with component composition, reusability, accessibility, maintainability, and performance best practices.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, feedback-driven, and changing environment.
