Description

  • Define requirements and manage development processes, systems, and infrastructure for data platforms and tools.
  • Partner with laboratory and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, optimize workflows, and define products aligned with HIPAA and HITECH standards.
  • Translate product requirements into engineering Epics and Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Track development progress and requirement fulfillment using issue-tracking systems such as Jira.
  • Facilitate collaboration between users and engineers to ensure technical solutions meet user needs.
  • Create and operationalize a technical strategy and integrated roadmap for data products, pipelines, and tooling.
  • Align cross-functional milestones and deliverables across current and future programs.
  • Ensure data integrity throughout pipelines through technical and process-oriented solutions.
  • Lead stakeholder discussions and provide a scalable, accessible vision for future development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a software development environment, ideally in biotechnology and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
  • Deep expertise in identifying and prioritizing software features.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional trade-off decisions and improve organizational processes and outcomes.
  • Experience leading software development for regulated market standards such as FDA or CAP/CLIA.
  • Experience with laboratory operations, medical affairs, or clinical study operations for diagnostics.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and sprint planning.
  • Experience building solutions focused on multiomics, NGS, or proteomics preferred.

  • US base salary range of $118,150–$167,475.
