Description

  • Own the Applied AI platform roadmap, including strategic initiatives, innovation bets, and platform maintenance.
  • Manage agents, evaluations, harnesses, and observability supporting AI-powered care products.
  • Balance platform trade-offs across cost, latency, quality, open-source adoption, and in-house development.
  • Scope initiatives with Engineering, AI, and Product teams while balancing reusability and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to deliver high-value member experiences.
  • Monitor post-release quality and address model degradation and unexpected production behavior.
  • Own AI safety with the clinical team, including prevention, detection, and response to agent errors.
  • Manage and develop a small product team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including recent ownership of an AI-powered product.
  • Strong technical depth in AI and generative AI, including models, prompting, retrieval, and agent architectures.
  • Experience launching LLM-based features for real users and managing evaluation, annotation, observability, and failure modes.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to technical AI and engineering discussions and connect decisions to member experiences.
  • Ability to challenge decisions that compromise the member experience.
  • Ability to track advances in AI and apply sound product and technical judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using coding agents for debugging, data analysis, monitoring, tooling, research, and automation.
  • At least Level 1 AI proficiency: daily use of AI to improve personal productivity.
  • Experience managing and growing a small product team.
  • Preferred: experience with memory, guardrails, multi-agent orchestration, voice AI, experimentation or evaluation infrastructure, foundation model training and deployment, or regulated industries.
  • Must be based in Portugal and hold a valid EU visa; relocation assistance is not provided.
