Description

  • Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and suites for unit, integration, API, UI, end-to-end, and regression testing.
  • Define and drive test automation strategy, standards, architecture, and roadmap across engineering teams.
  • Create risk-based test plans, test cases, and automation coverage for payment, security, and compliance workflows.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates, reporting, and code coverage metrics.
  • Develop test tooling, simulators, and test-data strategies for third-party services and payment terminal hardware.
  • Improve automation reliability, maintainability, and execution speed by reducing flaky tests.
  • Use AI-enabled testing tools to accelerate testing and reduce time-to-market.
  • Lead code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions to improve software quality.
  • Mentor engineers on test design, automation best practices, and testability.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, technology evaluation, and technical decisions.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software quality engineering or software development experience with a strong focus on test automation.
  • 3+ years in a senior, lead, or principal role owning automation strategy and architecture.
  • Programming experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience building test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Experience with UI and mobile automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, and Espresso.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using JSON or XML and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Git, software architecture, coding standards, source control, and unit/system testing practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with payment systems, EMV, P2PE, PCI/EMV compliance, terminal hardware, or peripheral-device testing (preferred).
