Description

  • Lead the technical strategy for enterprise deals from initial conversations through close and post-sale support.
  • Run consultative engagements that uncover customer security challenges and map them to Fortanix solutions.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for technical and executive audiences.
  • Lead discovery discussions to identify real customer problems, constraints, and use cases.
  • Design and deliver proofs of concept and technical validations end to end.
  • Build tailored demos and provide customer enablement to support adoption and expansion.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to influence deals and product direction.
  • Bring field feedback back to Product and Engineering to inform roadmap and positioning.
  • Turn successful deployments into renewals, expansions, and customer references.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer in enterprise security, infrastructure, or cloud.
  • Proven experience supporting complex enterprise deals valued at $1M+.
  • Strong hands-on technical ability with the ability to do the work, not just discuss it.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Strong exposure to security and cryptography areas such as HSMs, crypto interfaces, KMS systems, or cloud key management.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as PKCS#11, CAPI, CNG, JCE, KMIP, REST APIs, AWS KMS, CloudHSM, Azure Key Vault, or Google KMS.
  • Experience with real-world security use cases such as TDE, TLS, blockchain, or secure manufacturing.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment and communicate clearly with both engineers and executives.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and with partners while showing strong ownership and curiosity.
  • Preferred: experience with Confidential Computing.
  • Preferred: exposure to GenAI or RAG architectures, especially securing data pipelines.
  • Preferred: security certifications such as CISSP or Security+.
  • Preferred: experience selling into Global 1000 or Financial Services organizations.
