Description

  • Execute collections and recovery strategies across early- and late-stage delinquency and post charge-off accounts.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Manage third-party subservicers and collection agencies responsible for delinquency management and charged-off recoveries.
  • Hold vendors accountable to KPIs, SLAs, and performance expectations and drive corrective action plans when needed.
  • Lead recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews and operational meetings with vendors.
  • Analyze collections and recovery data to understand delinquency and recovery drivers and translate findings into action.
  • Partner with internal analytics, Legal, and Compliance teams to improve processes and ensure policy and regulatory alignment.
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reporting with clear trends, drivers, and actions taken.
  • Support forecasting and performance tracking for collections and recovery channels.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements and new collections tactics to improve scalability, borrower experience, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections, recoveries, or servicing operations, preferably in consumer lending.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors or subservicers to deliver business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive performance improvements.
  • Knowledge of collections regulations and compliance requirements, such as FDCPA and CFPB guidance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong project management rigor with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, results-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
