Description

Manage a team of full stack engineers, with possible oversight of mobile engineers, while driving growth, performance, and engagement.
Turn quarterly roadmaps into realistic delivery plans and track progress against company goals.
Run agile delivery processes and continuously improve them using delivery metrics.
Manage cross-domain and external integration dependencies, escalating and resolving blockers early.
Review RFCs and technical proposals, providing feedback on design, scalability, security, and integration risk.
Lead technical discussions with third-party integration partners and own the technical feasibility view.
Improve engineering process and delivery metrics such as cycle time, deployment frequency, change-failure rate, and defect escape rate.
Embed security and compliance obligations, including PCI DSS-related concerns, into the team’s delivery process.
Draft and track team OKRs and engineering KPIs, and respond when the team is off track.
Coordinate with Product, Customer Success, DevOps, and other Foodics counterparts to deliver shared goals.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience managing a software engineering team and delivering on commitments predictably.
Strong command of agile and lean delivery practices, including sprints, kanban, estimation, and refinement.
Proven ability to manage dependencies and coordinate delivery across multiple teams and external partners.
Technical strength to review RFCs and technical proposals, reason about architecture and scalability, and scope engineering spikes.
Ability to hold technical discussions with engineers and third-party partners about integration risk and feasibility.
Fluency with delivery and quality metrics and a data-driven approach to leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Ability to translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in multi-market or multi-region environments, ideally with distributed and remote teams.
Comfort in a fast-moving scale-up environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is normal.
Experience in B2B SaaS with high-volume B2C traffic patterns (nice to have).
Background in hospitality-tech, food and beverage, payments, or last-mile delivery (nice to have).
Working knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, GitHub, PHP/Symfony, NodeJS, Typescript, and mobile stacks such as Capacitor, Ionic, or React Native (nice to have).
Familiarity with third-party systems such as POS, PMS, payment gateways, and delivery aggregators (nice to have).
Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams in the MENA region (nice to have).
BSc or MSc degree, or equivalent experience (nice to have).
