Description

  • Collaborate with the team to design, code, test, debug, deploy, and document software in an agile environment.
  • Participate in pair programming, ensemble programming, and swarming sessions with teammates.
  • Work with Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, UX Researchers and Designers, and Product Managers to build and maintain enterprise systems.
  • Help operate and enhance a multi-disciplinary enterprise government application.
  • Tackle a wide variety of technical problems across large-scale commercial and government systems.
  • Deliver work in small increments while keeping the overall system and product goals in mind.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback as part of a learning-oriented team culture.
  • Use root-cause analysis to identify problems and develop the right solutions.
  • Continuously improve yourself, your team, and development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
  • 5+ years of development experience in enterprise environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and batch processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with test-driven development.
  • Agile development experience and an agile mindset.
  • Ability to write high-quality code efficiently.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Comfort working with changing requirements and priorities with little or no warning.
  • Preferred: experience collaborating online in small groups about 50% of the time.
