Description

  • Own the end-to-end design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support of major platform components.
  • Build backend services in Python using Flask, along with RESTful APIs, data persistence, and supporting user interface components.
  • Develop and consume API-first service contracts with versioning, authentication, and authorization.
  • Build and maintain customer self-service APIs for catalog, feasibility, ordering, provisioning, and lifecycle workflows.
  • Implement reliable order processing features such as idempotency, retries, compensation, validation, and tenant-scoped access control.
  • Develop orchestration workflows to provision, modify, validate, and decommission network services.
  • Automate MPLS L3VPN, EVPN, BGP, DCI, IP transit, Layer 2 transport, and cloud connectivity workflows.
  • Maintain vendor-abstraction layers and device drivers across Arista, Cisco, and Fortinet platforms.
  • Implement state reconciliation, drift detection, dry-run, rollback, and compliance controls for production changes.
  • Integrate with ServiceNow, observability tooling, and operational processes, and participate in on-call and incident response.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience building and operating production software and network automation systems.
  • 6+ years of production Python service development, REST API design, data modeling, and automated testing experience.
  • 6+ years of deep network and security domain experience with MPLS L3VPN, BGP/MP-BGP/VPNv4, EVPN-VXLAN, OSPF/IS-IS, DCI, IP transit, and firewall policy.
  • 5+ years of network-as-code, intent-driven provisioning, and multi-vendor configuration management experience.
  • 3+ years building customer-facing service APIs with contract versioning, tenant-scoped authorization, and rate limiting.
  • 3+ years of GitOps/CI/CD experience with automated test gates and tested rollback.
  • 3+ years of network security engineering experience with firewall automation, RBAC, and secrets management.
  • 3+ years working with document, graph, and timeseries databases.
  • 3+ years of Linux systems administration, network management systems, and operational tooling integration.
  • 2+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript, Angular or React, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design for a platform area.
  • Preferred: experience with ServiceNow, Kubernetes, Helm, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or AI-assisted operations.
