Description

  • Monitor and analyze economic, political, and business trends across Central America, the Caribbean, and broader LATAM.
  • Conduct political analysis, economic research, and macroeconomic forecasting on assigned markets.
  • Create and maintain clear views on major regional issues and pressure test those views over time.
  • Write concise, impactful research deliverables for senior executive readers.
  • Deliver research presentations to senior executive clients.
  • Collaborate with the global research team and commercial team to support client relationships and growth strategy.
  • Provide analysis and advice that informs corporate planning and decision-making for multinational executives.
  • Cover a select set of markets while staying aware of broader regional developments.
  • Engage with C-suite executives and respond to their questions and information needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded institution in Economics, Business, Regional Studies, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as international economics.
  • 0-1 years of research experience in an academic, non-profit, or business context.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of macroeconomics through coursework or prior experience.
  • Spanish proficiency is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the LATAM region through personal, professional, or educational background.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once with strong time and project management skills.
  • Ability to cover a variety of topics, including unfamiliar ones.
  • Knowledge of Central America and the Caribbean region is a plus.
  • Familiarity with or experience in the private sector is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Outstanding writing and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
