Description

  • Monitor and analyze economic, political, and business trends across Central America, the Caribbean, and broader LATAM.
  • Conduct political analysis, economic research, and macroeconomic forecasting for selected markets.
  • Create and maintain views on major issues affecting the covered markets and pressure test those views over time.
  • Write concise, impactful research deliverables for senior executive readers.
  • Deliver research presentations to senior executive clients.
  • Support multinational clients by translating regional analysis into business implications and action-oriented insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the global research team and commercial team on client needs and growth priorities.
  • Engage directly with C-suite executives as part of research delivery and client support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded institution in Economics, Business, Regional Studies, or International Relations.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as international economics.
  • 0-1 years of research experience in an academic, non-profit, or business context.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of macroeconomics through prior experience or relevant coursework.
  • Spanish proficiency is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the LATAM region through personal, professional, or educational background and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once with strong time and project management skills.
  • Ability to cover a variety of topics and issues, including unfamiliar ones.
  • Knowledge of Central America and the Caribbean region is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with or experience in the private sector is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Outstanding writing and problem-solving skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset.
