Description

  • Prepare and analyze revenue accounting entries for month-end close and maintain deferred revenue waterfalls.
  • Own the monthly ASC 606 revenue recognition process in NetSuite ARM.
  • Review Master Agreements and contracts to ensure revenue is recorded properly and documentation complies with policy.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP accurately to complex revenue transactions and research unusual revenue arrangements.
  • Review order data in Salesforce for accuracy and revenue recognition impact.
  • Perform and maintain SSP analysis on an annual basis.
  • Support external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Partner with financial reporting, GL accounting, and acquisition integration teams on quarterly and annual reporting and new business go-live activities.
  • Help improve revenue recognition processes and systems over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of direct ASC 606 revenue recognition experience, or 3-5 years of progressive general accounting experience with strong revenue knowledge.
  • Experience with ASC 606 system implementations, such as NetSuite ARM or a similar tool, and/or Big 4 audit experience with a CPA license.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and Word or Google Docs.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop the accounting narrative and make recommendations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
  • Experience and interest in building systems and processes in a fast-growing business.
