Description

  • Administer and monitor AWS PostgreSQL databases to support reliability and performance.
  • Investigate query performance issues and implement tuning improvements.
  • Collaborate daily with development teams and other departments on database-related work.
  • Review developer-driven data architecture changes and provide feedback with senior guidance.
  • Evaluate schemas, indexes, table structures, and redundant columns to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in release and deployment processes and gain exposure to production workflows.
  • Help automate manual tasks and improve data delivery and infrastructure scalability.
  • Use AI agents, LLM-powered tools, and automation to support query analysis, schema reviews, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Research new technologies and propose improvements that increase team and system productivity.

Requirements

  • Solid foundation in relational databases and data architecture gained through professional work, school projects, internships, or personal exploration.
  • Experience or strong academic exposure to designing, building, and scaling databases.
  • Familiarity with SQL and interest in PostgreSQL and cloud database services.
  • Comfort using AI assistants, copilots, and LLM-powered tools as a core part of your workflow.
  • Team-first mindset with a collaborative, results-oriented approach.
  • Proactive, curious attitude and genuine desire to keep learning.
  • 1 or more years of experience in a data/database engineer or DBA role (preferred).
  • 3 or more years of experience working with databases and data architectures in any IT capacity (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS RDS or Aurora (preferred).
  • Demonstrated use of AI agents or LLM-powered tools to do technical work more efficiently (preferred).
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
