Description

  • Lead, support, and grow a team of data scientists and data science managers.
  • Set the vision for how data shapes strategy across Figma’s AI products.
  • Champion data quality, accessibility, and the democratization of data across the company.
  • Create accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to drive impact.
  • Shape measurement for AI products, including evals, quality, and experimentation for LLM-powered assistants and agents.
  • Work closely with AI Research on evaluation and product measurement at scale.
  • Identify opportunities, inefficiencies, and improvements through data-driven insights.
  • Build data frameworks and help implement modern statistical methods across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience managing and leading high-output Data Science teams, including at least 2 years managing other managers.
  • 7+ years of experience working in AI, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience building or measuring AI products, ideally LLM-powered assistants, agents, chatbots, or copilots.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical methods, experimentation, and/or forecasting.
  • Ability to scale teams in high-growth environments.
  • Desire to build an inclusive and diverse culture.
  • Experience owning 0-to-1 product areas (preferred).
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to learn and grow alongside the team.
  • Must be able to work from a US hub or remotely in the United States.
  • Full-time role.

  • Annual base salary range of $290,000 to $376,000 USD.
