Description

  • Define the long-term AI technology strategy for the digital manufacturing platform.
  • Partner with AI research and engineering leadership to turn R&D advances into customer-facing capabilities.
  • Prioritize AI product opportunities such as intelligent quoting, 3D model auto-classification, supplier matching, and adaptive routing.
  • Own the AI infrastructure and model lifecycle, including data acquisition, training, deployment, monitoring, and feedback loops.
  • Design human-in-the-loop workflows with ML engineers and data scientists to improve accuracy and explainability.
  • Define and track model, business, and adoption metrics for AI-enabled systems.
  • Lead experimentation programs to validate new model capabilities before scaling.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering to ensure scalable, modular, and compliant AI integrations.
  • Lead development of AI-driven modules for quoting, manufacturability assessment, supplier recommendation, and forecasting.
  • Mentor other product managers and represent the company externally as an AI thought leader.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years leading AI or ML-driven products from research to production.
  • Startup experience with demonstrated 0-to-MVP-to-1 product ownership, ideally including a successful exit such as acquisition or IPO.
  • Proven track record building AI-first SaaS or enterprise systems, ideally in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or industrial automation.
  • Deep understanding of AI technologies, including LLMs, supervised/unsupervised ML, computer vision, or predictive analytics pipelines.
  • Demonstrated success operationalizing models with AI research teams and data engineering into scalable production systems.
  • Fluency in data infrastructure concepts such as feature stores, inference APIs, model retraining, and observability.
  • Strong technical intuition and ability to discuss architecture, experimentation, and trade-offs with engineers and data scientists.
  • Analytical rigor with experience in experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and quantitative product measurement.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills to connect technical complexity to business impact.
  • Preferred: domain experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or CAD/CAM ecosystems.
  • Preferred: experience with human-in-the-loop AI, active learning, or automated decision-support models.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of product data ontologies, graph databases, or knowledge modeling for industrial applications.
  • Preferred: thought leadership or published work on AI strategy, ML productization, or applied AI ethics.
