Description

  • Own requirements and partner with engineering to design an extensible unified data model.
  • Develop data strategy in collaboration with organizational leaders.
  • Gather requirements across product and engineering teams, identify shared entities, and resolve competing schema needs.
  • Translate ambiguous business needs into engineering requirements across ingestion, BI, Data-as-a-Service, and API use cases.
  • Define and prioritize the unified data model roadmap while balancing immediate needs, extensibility, governance, and business value.
  • Create product requirements, specifications, and data contracts with data engineering.
  • Drive data governance standards covering naming, ownership, quality, and documentation.
  • Collaborate across data engineering, analytics, and platform engineering to scale the model across data acquisition, storage, and delivery.
  • Track adoption, identify migration risks, and resolve data quality and parity gaps.
  • Present data model and roadmap decisions to engineering and leadership stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience as a strategic, technically fluent Data Product Manager, preferably with data architecture or platform products.
  • Experience in energy, utilities, fintech, or expense-management software preferred.
  • Familiarity with utility billing, tariff, or usage data structures preferred.
  • Experience with data governance, master data management, or data cataloging tools preferred.
  • Exposure to AI- or ML-driven data extraction or classification pipelines preferred.
  • Experience with platform consolidation or M&A-related system integration preferred.
  • Ability to align stakeholders and translate competing data needs into coherent, extensible models.
  • Preference for candidates located in Washington, DC, or New York.
  • Must be authorized to work without visa sponsorship; Arcadia cannot provide sponsorship.
