Description

Configure, extend, and maintain complex distributed Java projects and web applications.
Consult with peers and internal stakeholders to define technical requirements and architectural approaches for custom integrations.
Develop testable Java code for custom extensions and complex integrations when standard configurations are insufficient.
Diagnose performance and integration issues and provide code-level solutions to maintain system stability.
Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of production environments for enterprise clients.
Monitor machines or instances, log files, Grafana dashboards, and product upgrades.
Provide second-tier support for live clients and participate in the L2 on-call rotation.
Advocate for engineering best practices and maintain alignment with the core product roadmap.
Mentor and coach team members on software development and technical consulting.
Work with Agile principles to deliver quality products regularly.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, a comparable degree, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in Java software development.
Deep understanding of cloud environments, especially AWS.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes in cloud environments.
Experience using monitoring and issue-resolution tools such as Amazon CloudWatch.
Knowledge of thread and JVM memory management in high-performance systems.
Availability for L2 on-call rotation.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Resilience and a problem-solving mindset.
Nice to have experience with Zookeeper, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Ansible, Docker, and databases.
