Description

  • Own the end-to-end data stack, from ingestion and warehousing through modeling and business intelligence.
  • Maintain and connect the Snowflake warehouse to source systems such as EMR, RCM, patient engagement, scheduling, and support tools.
  • Implement ELT pipelines and orchestration, including Meltano-based ingestion and dbt Cloud/CI workflows.
  • Own the company’s data strategy and the architecture and design of the replica, warehouse, and BI tool.
  • Build curated data marts and a governed semantic layer in dbt.
  • Define and maintain durable business metrics such as Time-to-Care, referral funnels, cancellations, provider capacity, and cohort outcomes.
  • Add data quality tests, lineage, and alerting, and resolve root causes of data issues quickly.
  • Administer the BI platform, define roles and permissions, and deliver high-value dashboards.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate questions into metrics, dashboards, and data contracts.
  • Train teams on self-serve analytics best practices and documentation.
  • Implement HIPAA-aligned security and compliance controls, including access controls, masking, tokenization, audit logging, and data retention policies.
  • Monitor data performance, freshness, and cost, and optimize priority datasets to meet SLAs.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI engineering with end-to-end ELT-to-BI ownership.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with dbt or comparable transformation tooling.
  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake, with BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks also acceptable.
  • Experience with a BI platform, preferably Sigma, with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI also acceptable.
  • Experience with Git-based CI/CD, Terraform, and Docker.
  • Strong Python skills for light transformations and connector development.
  • Experience with an ingestion framework such as Meltano, Airbyte, Singer SDK, Fivetran, or Stitch, and an orchestrator such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
  • Experience designing semantic layers such as LookML, Metrics Layer, or dbt semantic models.
  • Experience integrating healthcare data from EMR, RCM, claims, eligibility, scheduling, or patient engagement systems.
  • Working knowledge of HL7/FHIR and healthcare data concepts such as encounters, payers, CPT/ICD, and denials.
  • Experience with HIPAA/PHI practices, including de-identification, RBAC, audit logs, and vendor BAA familiarity.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including requirements gathering, KPI translation, and documentation.
  • Nice to have: experience with data reliability tools such as Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, or Elementary.
  • Nice to have: background with CRM or support tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zendesk, plus marketing or scheduling data.
