Description

  • Collaborate with account managers and sales teams to identify customer needs and propose technical solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, training sessions, and proof-of-concept activities for customers, partners, and employees.
  • Support technical assessments, architectural workshops, RFPs, RFIs, and solution proposals during the sales cycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical stakeholders at customer organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, product teams, and engineering teams to relay feedback and ensure solution alignment.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Extreme Networks hardware and software in the customer demo lab.
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot layer 2/3 lab topologies, including VLANs, routing, and IPv6 configurations.
  • Maintain lab documentation, firmware upgrades, backup configurations, inventory, licensing, and physical cable/rack organization.
  • Support automated testing frameworks and integrate lab infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and development teams to support feature validation and integration testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or network consulting.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, switching/routing, wireless LAN, and/or cloud-managed networks.
  • Experience working with vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or similar.
  • Understanding of cloud-managed networking platforms and integration with security and automation workflows.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills using CLI, SNMP, and packet analysis tools such as Wireshark.
  • Experience with network simulation and testing tools.
  • Comfortable working in both physical and virtual network environments.
  • Vendor certifications in networking, wireless technologies, access control, or cloud are highly preferred.
  • Experience as a Network Engineer or Lab Engineer in a technical environment is preferred.
  • Fluent in Japanese (native or business level) and proficient in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
