Description

  • Work directly with customers to implement Extreme networking and SD-WAN solutions in mission-critical environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve problems under pressure.
  • Analyze customer requirements and position the appropriate Extreme solution effectively.
  • Manage complex customer interactions and set expectations in difficult circumstances to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Perform network and systems security design analysis and implement security-related features.
  • Use security-related toolsets to support design, implementation, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Collaborate as a team player while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver technical presentations and communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support implementations during scheduled downtime or with no downtime when required.
  • Apply deep knowledge of networking technologies, routing, switching, IPv4/IPv6, and related protocols.

Requirements

  • 6 or more years of experience in networking technologies with industry and regional knowledge.
  • 4 or more years of experience with security design features and network/system security analysis.
  • Hands-on experience using security-related toolsets.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills in a network environment.
  • Experience with SD-WAN.
  • In-depth knowledge of IPv4/IPv6.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols including RIPv1/v2/v3, OSPFv2/v3, VRRP, MPLS, BGP, and PIM.
  • In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 switching, including 802.1Q, 802.1D, and 802.1x.
  • Excellent interpersonal, technical presentation, and communication skills.
  • US citizenship is required; security clearance is a plus.
  • Ability to travel more than 90% of the time, with travel typically targeted near 50% depending on the work.
