Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
  • Build and support event-driven architectures with Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests.
  • Design and optimize solutions using MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Deploy and support applications in Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS environments.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS.
  • Implement observability practices to improve reliability and performance.
  • Design highly available and scalable systems with auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with containerized environments including Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and ECS.
  • Understanding of observability practices and monitoring strategies.
  • Solid understanding of scalability concepts including auto-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with software engineering principles such as SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI.
  • Clear communication skills and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate English level.
  • Preferred experience with Azure or GCP.
  • Preferred experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Preferred knowledge of Python, Kotlin, or Golang.
  • Preferred background in financial services, banking, fintech, card companies, or similar institutions.
  • Preferred experience working in hybrid environments.
