Description

  • Develop and maintain Python, Django, and Django REST Framework applications.
  • Build APIs, background workers, integrations, and AWS Lambda functions.
  • Support legacy Python applications and Python 3.x environments.
  • Manage AWS services, Linux environments, application servers, and deployments.
  • Maintain infrastructure automation with SaltStack, Packer, Docker, and Serverless Framework.
  • Build and improve Jenkins-based CI/CD and release pipelines.
  • Improve reliability through monitoring, canary deployments, rollback, retry, and recovery practices.
  • Manage databases, messaging, authentication, security, and external-service integrations.
  • Manage Python dependencies, runtime environments, package builds, and reproducible deployments.
  • Use and review AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, troubleshooting, security, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
  • Hands-on AWS experience, particularly with Lambda and event-driven services.
  • Experience managing Linux-based application environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, deployment automation, and production support.
  • Experience with SaltStack or a similar configuration-management tool.
  • Knowledge of MySQL or RDS, REST APIs, queues, authentication, TLS, and application security.
  • Practical experience with AI coding assistants, LLMs, or AI-enabled engineering workflows.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.
  • Preferred experience with Python 2-to-3 upgrades, Packer, AMIs, Gunicorn, Nginx, Apache, systemd, AWS services, secure development, observability, and high-availability systems.
