Description

  • Prospect, develop, and implement location strategies for new and existing customers.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of business growth opportunities.
  • Build professional networks through social media, trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
  • Identify key stakeholders, business drivers, budgeting needs, and acquisition processes within customer organizations.
  • Use solution selling to understand customer needs and business challenges.
  • Articulate the value of Esri technology for infrastructure use cases.
  • Conduct research and pursue professional development to anticipate customer needs and industry trends.
  • Execute account management and sales processes for all opportunities.
  • Use whiteboard sessions and visual storytelling to propose customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of enterprise sales, consulting, or program management experience.
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing trusted advisor relationships with customers.
  • Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GIS and new technology trends, with the ability to translate them into customer solutions.
  • Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, surveying, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Understanding of GIS, Esri technology, and the electric, gas, telecom, or rail industries as they relate to one another (preferred).
  • Experience managing the sales life cycle (preferred).
  • General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis for problem solving and identifying patterns and trends (preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
