Description

  • Design responsive user interfaces, graphs, and visualizations.
  • Develop design solutions that address user and company needs.
  • Create design specifications for implementation and review.
  • Build mock-ups and prototypes to communicate design concepts.
  • Maintain adherence to design systems and visual consistency.
  • Collaborate with the current Product Designer on user-centered web experiences and dashboards.
  • Contribute to the design library as needed.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing, depending on strengths and interests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience designing interactive digital products.
  • A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX and/or data visualization work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong grasp of typography, color, and layout principles.
  • Comfort working in Figma, including auto-layout and components.
  • Interest in Epoch AI’s work.
  • Familiarity with Epoch AI’s research or related topics (preferred).
  • Experience in scientific communication (preferred).
  • Experience in illustration or branding (preferred).
  • Familiarity with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred).
  • Experience with Python visualization libraries such as Matplotlib or Plotly, or other data visualization tools (preferred).
  • Good written communication skills (preferred).
  • Professional-level English proficiency.
  • Ability to submit application materials in English.
  • Preference for candidates in North and South American time zones, especially UTC-4/5 overlap.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $75,000–$100,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
  • Contracts and payments are usually made in local currencies, not only USD.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible work hours.
