Description

  • Lead development for a project or initiative with ownership of technical quality and player experience.
  • Guide, mentor, and help build an effective engineering team.
  • Work closely with art and design teams to create and iterate on gameplay features.
  • Maintain strong architectural and algorithmic direction for gameplay systems.
  • Collaborate with Unreal Engine teams on ongoing feature development.
  • Optimize existing systems and fix bugs.
  • Contribute ideas across project production and development.
  • Write robust, maintainable code.

Requirements

  • Experience as a leader in an engineering role with a demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Significant experience developing games or other interactive real-time technology applications.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Proficiency in C++ with a deep understanding of gameplay systems, mechanics, and tools.
  • Ability to empathize with users and balance tradeoffs with the user in mind.
  • Strong teamwork and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills, including the ability to deliver and respond to constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge of Verse and Unreal Editor for Fortnite is a plus.
