Description

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for backend software using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Define and implement automated testing strategies and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with development teams.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate system scalability and robustness.
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot complex issues in both automated and manual testing environments.
  • Document test cases, test scripts, testing processes, progress, and issues in Jira.
  • Use Excel to analyze and report testing metrics, including advanced functions when needed.
  • Validate backend data and understand data relationships using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and developers, on software quality and improvement areas.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and support a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automated testing of backend systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, RestAssured, TestNG, and JMeter.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and automated testing best practices.
  • Experience using Jira for documentation and issue tracking.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams for collaboration.
  • Experience using Excel for reporting, including advanced functions.
  • Experience using SQL Server Management Studio for backend data validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their testing-related services (preferred).
  • Familiarity with manual testing (preferred).
  • ISTQB certification (preferred).
