Description

  • Review and assess submissions across code and web template categories against technical, quality, usability, documentation, security, and commercial standards.
  • Apply consistent review criteria across asset types, including design quality, code quality, functionality, responsiveness, browser compatibility, accessibility, performance, and security.
  • Reject submissions that fail marketplace standards due to poor code quality, broken functionality, weak documentation, security issues, excessive dependencies, low originality, or limited commercial value.
  • Provide clear, objective, and constructive review decisions aligned with established guidelines.
  • Identify complex, ambiguous, or high-risk submissions and escalate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Recognize emerging category risks, contributor patterns, and quality concerns that may affect marketplace standards or customer trust.
  • Support calibration activities to improve consistency across the Code Review team.
  • Contribute to review documentation, category standards, technical benchmarks, and reviewer enablement materials.
  • Identify recurring contributor issues, operational bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve review quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Partner with Content Operations leaders to support the transition to a smaller, cross-functional Mexico-based review team.

Requirements

  • Strong full-stack development background with practical experience in front-end and back-end web development.
  • Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress themes, WordPress plugins, scripts, and web templates.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress ecosystems, including template hierarchy, installation workflows, customization, and dependencies.
  • Ability to evaluate clean code practices, file organization, naming conventions, documentation standards, and version compatibility.
  • Ability to identify technical risks such as broken functionality, poor code structure, weak security practices, performance issues, unsupported dependencies, and poor usability.
  • Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to make consistent, objective, and well-reasoned review decisions across multiple asset categories.
  • Comfortable maintaining quality standards while meeting productivity and turnaround expectations.
  • Fluent or strong professional proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience reviewing or creating assets for a digital marketplace, with familiarity with ThemeForest and CodeCanyon preferred.
