Description

  • Perform bank reconciliations for associations with multiple bank accounts.
  • Prepare and issue accurate financial statements for associations on a timely basis.
  • Prepare supporting schedules, including accrued expense and prepaid expense schedules.
  • Complete quality assurance checklists before issuing financial statements.
  • Update cover memos for monthly financial statements with key notes and observations.
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing supporting documents.
  • Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures carefully.
  • Research and respond to inquiries related to prepared financial statements.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to support compliance.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or comparable work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant.
  • Experience working in the HOA/COA or property management accounting industry is preferred.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, handling general ledger functions, and supporting month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with speed and accuracy on multiple financials daily.
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency, quality, and business outcomes is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 USD.
  • Compensation range may include applicable bonuses or commissions.
