Description

  • Help self-pay clients develop financial plans for treatment services and keep appointments on track.
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls with clients.
  • Respond to questions about client accounts with empathy, compassion, respect, and active listening.
  • Proactively identify and escalate client account issues to the Client Account Team Lead.
  • Work with admission coordinators to address client follow-up questions prior to admission.
  • Resolve delinquent accounts in accordance with TEP Financial Review policy.
  • Prepare and monitor payment plans and refer accounts to outside collection agencies when needed.
  • Review financial assistance applications, communicate outcomes to clients, and allocate approved funding.
  • Manage return mail, COB denials, faxes, emails, tickets, disputes, and self-pay balances.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical patient access or billing office knowledge required.
  • Two years of phone experience with customers.
  • Two years of healthcare experience working with client benefit coverage and/or claims preferred.
  • Experience working in a behavioral health environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Teams, Outlook, and Office programs, with ability to learn new applications.
  • Knowledge of running data reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, prioritize work, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to focus in an open workspace environment and adjust to a fluctuating workflow pace.

  • Compensation of $23.00-$25.00 per hour.
