Description

  • Own the design and day-to-day health of API, web, mobile, integration, end-to-end, and regression automation frameworks.
  • Lead automation delivery using Java, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, and Appium.
  • Perform architecture decisions, code reviews, complex test implementation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Embed automation suites and quality gates into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop risk-based test strategies and evidence-based release assessments.
  • Maintain traceable certification, compliance, and audit evidence, including scheme certification obligations.
  • Monitor regression health, defect escapes, risk coverage, incidents, and automation reliability.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop Quality Engineers, including performance and capacity management.
  • Influence Development, Product, Delivery, Platform, and DevOps teams on quality practices, environments, test data, and observability.
  • Drive measurable improvements in automation maturity, regression effectiveness, defect prevention, and product quality.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software quality engineering and test automation experience.
  • Technical leadership experience with automation frameworks or complex testing solutions.
  • Strong Java and object-oriented design expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, and Appium, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience designing API, web, mobile, integration, and end-to-end automation for distributed service-based systems.
  • Strong GitLab CI/CD experience, including parallelization, automated quality gates, reporting, and failure diagnosis.
  • Experience managing flaky tests, test data challenges, and environment stability as engineering reliability issues.
  • Experience creating risk-based test strategies and release assessments.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering teams, including performance management and capacity planning.
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted software engineering for test design, code generation, maintenance, and failure analysis.
  • Experience with 3D Secure, EMVCo certification, payments, or regulated and security-critical environments is preferred.
  • Contract testing, service virtualization, performance testing, application security testing, JUnit 5, containers, device farms, and observability experience are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, communication, ownership, collaboration, and quality-focused skills.
