Description

  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of SAN arrays, data fabrics, and managed storage appliances.
  • Represent Ensono on a critical U.S. client account and drive modernization within the storage environment.
  • Organize and define work for complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Resolve issues, manage workload, and balance priorities under frequent interruptions and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Support storage array and fabric installs, upgrades, decommissions, and other lifecycle activities.
  • Provide enterprise-level thought leadership for storage infrastructure support.
  • Contribute to operational readiness, including documentation, guideline updates, policy updates, and change and audit procedures.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, major incident management, root cause analysis, and performance analysis and tuning.
  • Partner with the monitoring team to develop new event and performance alerts and monitors.
  • Participate in the modernization and automation of storage infrastructure and deployment of new SAN/switch infrastructure.
  • Maintain an accurate CMDB and support problem management to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Provide technical input to storage solution architecture, configuration, integration, and installation of new services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a master’s degree, or 5 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with enterprise storage platforms, especially Nutanix, Pure, Hitachi, and Brocade.
  • Additional experience with Dell EMC, Cisco, IBM, and NetApp is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP), Python, and Ansible.
  • Experience with Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks and firewalls.
  • Experience operating in an ITIL-compliant incident, request, change, and problem management environment.
  • Ability to manage complex, ambiguous work and meet strict deadlines.
  • Prior storage infrastructure experience in lifecycle management, incident response, and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to modernization and automation initiatives for storage environments.
