Description

  • Work as part of a small cross-functional XP team to install Imogen in client cloud environments.
  • Partner with client infosec, infrastructure, network, and IT teams to deploy the platform.
  • Pair program with other engineers and collaborate closely with product managers and designers.
  • Lead and support technical discovery for existing customer systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Adapt Imogen to client public cloud estates and deployment environments.
  • Apply and evolve XP engineering practices including pair programming, test-driven development, refactoring, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Adapt working practices for AI-assisted development, including co-writing code and managing agents.
  • Help onboard client, partner, and new internal developers on practices and techniques.
  • Continuously learn emerging technologies and contribute through mentorship, tech talks, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience as a consultant or working directly with external clients.
  • Experience managing infrastructure and using infrastructure as code as a software professional.
  • Experience working in a team environment with exposure to or passion for XP practices such as pair programming and automation.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent foundational experience such as a coding bootcamp or similar technical training.
  • Strong strategic thinking, technical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and empathy for working with developers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable with pair programming as a default mode of working.
  • Experience or demonstrated passion for cloud infrastructure and related tooling.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting issues with customer network, infosec, and support teams.
  • Experience building and deploying to cloud infrastructure with at least one infrastructure-as-code tool and one public cloud provider.
  • Experience developing a platform-as-a-service product, preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform, preferred.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes with Helm, preferred.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Nix for building images and packages, preferred.
  • Experience building infrastructure scripts and CLI tools using bash, Go, or a similar language, preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation based on business needs.
  • Ability to travel periodically and collaborate across North America and Europe time zones.
