Description

  • Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to create pursuit, solution, and sales strategies for large global clients.
  • Conduct discovery and assessment workshops with consulting, operations, and product resources to expand client account opportunities.
  • Develop and document solutions that address client technical and business requirements for transformation and re-platform efforts.
  • Lead solution development sessions and present technical solutions and business cases to diverse audiences.
  • Engage executives and senior technology leaders to secure buy-in for complex solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing consultation and recommendations based on technology expertise and prior experience.
  • Partner with Product Management to influence product enhancements and technology roadmap changes.
  • Support client stability and innovation by creating future-state solutions based on client needs and product offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
  • 20+ years of experience as an architect or equivalent in the hosting and network space, preferably with a service provider.
  • 12+ years of experience as a modernization or migration architect leading legacy system upgrades to new platforms with minimal business disruption.
  • Hands-on experience with mainframe application migration and legacy modernization projects.
  • Strong expertise in the mainframe technology stack, including COBOL, Easytrieve, Db2, IMS, JCL, CICS, VSAM, RACF, z/OS, PL/I, and Assembler.
  • Proven experience managing multi-phase, multi-dimensional, multi-resource projects through the full lifecycle while maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data migration and converting legacy data structures to modern database platforms.
  • Experience evaluating mainframe legacy applications and developing comprehensive modernization plans.
  • Development experience with modern Java and C# frameworks for scalable enterprise applications.
  • Extensive experience with Python for scripting, automation, data analysis, and scalable backend systems.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and hybrid solutions preferred.
  • Ability to apply AI-driven strategies and tools to legacy modernization and data migration efforts.
  • Well versed in the hosting technology landscape, including compute, storage, backup, network, security, DR, DevOps, and IT governance.
  • Good understanding of the sales process for large and complex opportunities.
  • Experience with technical documentation, including capturing solution components with accuracy and accountability.
  • Proficient with common office applications such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
