Description

  • Manage the full sales cycle for SLED deals from prospecting to close, including coordinating and delivering compelling online demos.
  • Drive net‑new opportunity development through high‑volume outbound efforts (cold calling, self‑prospecting) and by responding to RFPs.
  • Nurture and manage relationships with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) partners to generate and handle inbound leads.
  • Acquire new accounts and contribute to the onboarding process, then smoothly transition customers to the Account Management team.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Legal, Product, Marketing, and Account Management to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and services.
  • Maintain a well‑organized and clean sales pipeline and develop expertise in the tech stack to efficiently manage daily operations.
  • Travel to client locations and industry conferences as needed to meet prospects and close deals in person.
  • Own territory development within existing contract regions and expand into additional states as Engine grows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Enterprise Sales Executive experience in SLED (state, local, education) sales.
  • Proven hunter mentality with expertise in outbound prospecting techniques and tools (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Gong, GovSpend).
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and public sector contracts.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and working with GPOs to sell into government channels.
  • Exceptional listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive self‑starter who adapts to feedback and operates effectively in an unstructured, fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as required.

  • Total OTE (base + variable) range: $143,000–$180,000 USD.
